I’m Jeremy Tuttle. I live in Winston-Salem, NC. I’m a cyber security manager by day, steampunk lampmaker by night.

I’ve always been fascinated by lighting. It sets the vibe of your surroundings. My mood seems to ebb and flow with the ambient light of the environment.

How this lamp-making thing started: a few years ago, I decided to make a lamp on a whim, and was instantly hooked. The combination of art and engineering was intoxicating to me. The ability to alter the mood of a space with my own creations - wow. Using upcycled parts with their own rich histories makes it even more meaningful.

I obsess over the aesthetic and design of each and every lamp I create. The end product must absolutely look as if it were born that way. If something doesn’t look right, then I start again from scratch.

My favorite part of this gig is seeing people’s faces light up (literally and figuratively!) when they see my work. Sharing that sense of wonder with others is truly gratifying!
